C. External Expert Peer Review of the US-REGEN Model
An earlier version of the US-REGEN model documentation and preliminary analyses were submitted to an external panel of experts in order to conduct an appropriate peer review of the model, analytical approach, and results. The review took place between June and October, 2012. The external reviewers were selected for independence and scientific/technical expertise. The economist/technical peer reviewers are recognized nationally or internationally in their field and have a general knowledge of energy economics as well as the specific knowledge, expertise or experience in the areas of power sector market analysis, economic modeling, and/or computable general equilibrium analysis. The reviewers have a PhD and/or at least 10 years experience in a related field. None of the reviewers were associated with the model development either directly or indirectly by consultation during the development of the US-REGEN model.

Appendix D of this document details major changes made to the model since the publication of the latest, 2014 US-REGEN documentation. Further improvements are planned on an on-going basis.
